Deciding to turn this information over to the police and not interfere with an investigation proves harder than she thought. When her "real" life filled with other mysteries and concerns seem to lead to the hot-air balloon mystery. I followed this series and I am enjoying the development of Jennet and secondary characters in her life. Ms. Bodoin has a gift in turning her characters into real people who do not have all the answer wrapped up in a package.Product details

Dorothy Bodoin has outdone herself with this entry in the Jennet (Greenway) Ferguson series. If you like dogs, collies in particular, this is the series for you.
In this one, a hot air balloon crashes and the passengers, including two children, disappear. Jennet had seen the balloon flying over, and feels compelled to find out what's going on. Someone on the ride had tossed a cryptic note to her as it flew overhead.
In the meantime, a novice collie breeder has a serious mix up occur involving puppies and she asks Jennet to help her because there could be serious repercussions. The breeder feels like she's jinxed.
While Jennet's police officer husband, Crane, tries to coax her to stay away from mysteries, they keep popping up in her life. Her friends, Annica and Brent, are right in the thick of things, and Annica wants to involve herself in the mysteries. Annica and Brent add a little humor to the stories.
This is truly a must read, especially for dog lovers who love a good mystery.
Another book that is a must read.Dorothy Bodoine makes the characters so real
you feel as if you know them.
Dorothy's books keep me reading until the end. Although I have read all of Dorothy's books many times over, I still come across things I had missed. Dorothy is by far number one when it comes to mystery and Jennet. Thank you Dorothy. I highly recommend Dorothy Bodoin's Foxglove Corners series as well as other books penned by her. Especially if you love mystery, a little romance, collies and ghosts.
